Description: The email of the contact person. It must contain '@' and dot '.' in form userid@hostname (130 characters maximum). The userid can be alphanumeric characters, '.', '-', or '_' but must begin and end with alphanumeric characters. The hostname can be alphanumeric characters, '.', '-', or '_'. It must contain at least two domain items. Every domain item should begin and end with alphanumeric character, and the last domain item should be 2-20 alphabetic characters.

What is emailAddress?

This object holds the email address of the primary contact person, validated to require an @ and a properly formed domain with at least two domain parts. An admin configuring notifications or support contact information enters a properly formatted address here so automated messages and support follow-ups reach the right inbox. For example, entering an address missing the required dot in the domain portion would be rejected, since the MIB enforces the userid@hostname format described in its constraints.
