Description: Enables/disables a component restart to the SMS boot menu. Setting this object to 'enable(1)' will cause a reboot of the node to the SMS menu. This option is not supported by all components, and at the time of this MIB definition was only supported on POWER blades.
What is componentPowerEnableSMSBootMenu?
This read-write flag, when enabled, forces a component to reboot into its SMS boot menu, and the description notes this is only supported on POWER blades at time of writing. Admins use it when they need low-level boot-time access to a POWER blade for firmware or boot-order changes. For example, enabling this object on a POWER blade before a maintenance window reboots it straight into the SMS menu instead of its normal OS boot path.
