What is componentInventoryProductVersion?
This object reports the product version the manufacturer assigned to the component, separate from its hardware revision number. An administrator checks it to distinguish between successive version releases of the same product line when diagnosing compatibility issues. For example, an admin finds two blades reporting different product versions of the same expansion card, which explains why only one accepts a newer firmware package.
