Module: CME-MIB
OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::componentConfigurationPendingBootMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.32.11.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Indicates the copy of the firmware from which the component will boot after the next reboot. NOTE: Some components do not support the automatic boot recovery. It displays 'notApplicable' for such components and the value can not be set. Booting from the temporary copy is recommended since it typically contains the latest enhancements and fixes. Switching to the permanent copy should be reserved for when booting from the temporary copy is no longer possible.
What is componentConfigurationPendingBootMode?
This read-write enumeration sets which firmware copy, temporary or permanent, a component will boot from on its next reboot, and cannot be set on components that don't support automatic boot recovery. Admins use it to schedule a switch to a different firmware copy that only takes effect after the next reboot, avoiding an immediate disruption. For example, an admin sets this to permanent(2) ahead of a maintenance window so the component boots from its stable permanent copy the next time it restarts.
