What is cmeChassisSerial?
This read-only string reports the serial number of the remote chassis itself (distinct from cmeSerial, which is the management module's serial). Admins use it for asset tracking of the discovered chassis hardware as a whole. For example, this serial number lets an admin confirm a discovered remote chassis matches a specific unit listed in their asset database.
