cinEnable
Module: CME-MIB
OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::cinEnable
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.11.3.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Disable or enable a Chassis Internal Network (CIN) definition. Enabled: MM reads the entry and creates a new CIN interface if the CIN VLAN ID is new and does not have a CIN interface created yet, adds host route, and monitors communication path. Start ARP monitoring if IP is 0.0.0.0.
Disabled: Delete host route. If this is the last IP address that uses the CIN interface, - Stop ARP monitoring if IP is 0.0.0.0. - Delete the CIN interface if there is no other entry depends on it.
What is cinEnable?
This writable enum enables or disables a specific Chassis Internal Network (CIN) definition; enabling causes the MM to create the CIN interface, add a host route, and start monitoring the communication path (including ARP monitoring if the IP is 0.0.0.0), while disabling removes the host route. It matters because this is the per-entry control an admin uses day-to-day to bring a specific internal management VLAN up or down without deleting its configuration. An admin temporarily isolating one internal network segment for maintenance would set that entry's cinEnable to disabled(0) and re-enable it afterward.
