cimEnable

Module: CME-MIB

OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::cimEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.4.50

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Disable/Enable CIM (Common Information Model) interface. NOTE: Change to CIM enable/disable will take effect immediately.

What is cimEnable?

This writable enum enables or disables the MM's CIM (Common Information Model) interface, and the change takes effect immediately. CIM lets external systems-management software query and manage the chassis using standard CIM/WBEM tooling, so disabling it would cut off any integration relying on that interface. An admin retiring an old CIM-based monitoring tool in favor of SNMP polling would set cimEnable to disabled(0).

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.4.50
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::cimEnable

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.4.50.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::cimEnable.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.4.50.1 i <value>
