This octet string reports the maximum power drawn by the selected chassis fan module during the sample period. It helps an admin see how hard a fan spun up, since fans consume more power at higher speed, which is useful for spotting cooling stress. For example, a fan whose SampleMax rises sharply may indicate it ramped to full speed responding to a thermal event.
