bladeSensor9Temp

Module: CME-MIB

OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::bladeSensor9Temp

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.1.5.3.1.20

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: Temperature reading for an IPMI blade expressed in degrees centigrade(C). An octet string expressed as 'sddd.dd Centigrade' where: s is the sign ('-' for negative or blank space for positive) d is a decimal digit or blank space for leading zeroes. The string 'Not Readable!' indicates that the given monitor is not supported on this system. The string 'No Temperature' indicates that the given monitor does not exist on this system or is powered off.

What is bladeSensor9Temp?

This read-only octet string reports the temperature from IPMI blade temperature sensor 9, using the same 'sddd.dd Centigrade' formatting and the same 'Not Readable!'/'No Temperature' fallback strings as sensors 7 and 8. Having a ninth distinct sensor lets an admin monitor yet another specific thermal zone on densely instrumented blades where sensors 7 and 8 alone wouldn't cover every hot spot. An admin building a per-sensor temperature trend graph for a blade would plot bladeSensor9Temp as its own separate series rather than averaging it with sensors 7 and 8.
