Description: Temperature reading for an IPMI blade expressed in degrees centigrade(C). An octet string expressed as 'sddd.dd Centigrade' where: s is the sign ('-' for negative or blank space for positive) d is a decimal digit or blank space for leading zeroes. The string 'Not Readable!' indicates that the given monitor is not supported on this system. The string 'No Temperature' indicates that the given monitor does not exist on this system or is powered off.
What is bladeSensor7Temp?
This read-only octet string reports the temperature reading from IPMI blade temperature sensor 7, formatted as 'sddd.dd Centigrade' with a sign character and padded digits, or as 'Not Readable!' if the sensor isn't supported on that system or 'No Temperature' under other documented conditions. It matters as one specific data point in monitoring a blade's thermal health, distinct from its sibling sensors 8 and 9 which may be mounted at different points on the blade. An admin seeing bladeSensor7Temp read ' 85.00 Centigrade' compared to a much cooler sensor 8 reading might infer that sensor 7's location (e.g. near a specific CPU) is running unusually hot.
