Description: The level status of the blade bios firmware build ID. It has three possible values as Different (mismatch firmware build ID), Match (the same firmware build ID), Unique (only one such firmware build ID).
What is bladeBiosVpdLevelStatus?
This OCTET STRING reports whether the BIOS firmware build ID is consistent across the blades in the chassis, taking the value Different, Match, or Unique. An admin watches for a Different result to catch blades quietly running mismatched BIOS firmware that could behave inconsistently under the same management commands, prompting a fleet-wide firmware update. For example, seeing bladeBiosVpdLevelStatus report Different across the chassis warns the admin that at least one blade is running an older BIOS build than the rest, which should be brought in line before a firmware-sensitive workload is migrated onto it.
