cmSecurityPolicyStrength

Module: CM-SECURITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-SECURITY-MIB::cmSecurityPolicyStrength

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.10.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CmSecurityPolicyStrength

Access: read-write

Description: This object represents the security policy strength of the system. Based on this value, the system puts additional restrictions on the user id and password rules.

What is cmSecurityPolicyStrength?

This read-write CmSecurityPolicyStrength sets an overall security policy level that determines how strict the system's user ID and password rules are. An admin raises this setting in environments with stronger compliance requirements, which then tightens password complexity and related restrictions automatically. For example, moving to a stronger policy level might force longer, more complex passwords for every local user account on the device.
