What is cmPingInterface?

This OID stores a text string that identifies which network interface to use for ping tests. When you configure this, you're telling the device which network connection (by its IP address or interface name) should send diagnostic ping packets. A network operator would set this when troubleshooting connectivity on a specific interface, like checking if the management network is reachable separately from the data network.
