Description:
This object allows the user to specify whether the System IP Address or the Outgoing IP Interface's Address should be used in outgoing IP PDUs.
What is cmIpSourceAddressType?
This object specifies which IP address should be used as the source in outgoing IP packets: either the system's configured global IP address or the IP address of the specific outgoing interface. This controls IP routing source address selection. An operator would configure this to ensure proper source address selection for management traffic or to comply with network topology requirements.
