Description: This object allows the user to control the IP Management Traffic Bridging feature. When enabled, the system is managed using the IP address specified at the Management LAN port. All IP packets that are not terminated at the node will be bridged over the Management LAN.
What is cmIpManagementTrafficBridgingEnabled?
This read-write true/false object turns on the IP Management Traffic Bridging feature, under which the device is managed via the IP address on its Management LAN port and non-terminating IP packets are bridged over that LAN, per the description. Admins enable this when they want a single management IP reachable through a bridged Management LAN rather than requiring separate routed management paths to every device. For example, a technician centralizing management access for a rack of equipment would enable this object so all devices' management traffic rides the same bridged Management LAN uplink.
