Description: This object enables DHCP Option 61 on the IP interface. This object is only applicable when DHCP client is enabled.
What is cmIpInterfaceDHCPClientIdEnabled?
This read-write true/false object enables DHCP Option 61 (client identifier) on this IP interface, and only takes effect when the interface's DHCP client is enabled, per the description. Admins turn this on when the DHCP server needs a specific client identifier rather than the device's MAC address to recognize and lease an address to this interface. For example, in an environment where DHCP reservations are keyed by a custom client ID rather than MAC address, an admin would enable this object and then configure that ID in cmIpInterfaceDHCPClientId.
