Description: The status of this row. An entry MUST NOT exist in the active state unless all objects in the entry have an appropriate value, as described in the description clause for each writable object.
The values of neRowStatus supported are createAndGo(4) and destroy(6). All mandatory attributes must be specified in a single SNMP SET request with neRowStatus value as createAndGo(4). Upon successful row creation, this object has a value of active(1).
The neRowStatus object may be modified if the associated instance of this object is equal to active(1).
What is neRowStatus?
This read-create RowStatus governs the status of a Network Element table row, supporting only createAndGo(4) and destroy(6), with all mandatory attributes required in a single SET when creating. An admin cares because it is the standard SNMP control used to provision or remove an NE entry atomically in one operation. For example, an operator issues one SNMP SET with neName, neLocation, and neRowStatus=createAndGo(4) together to provision a brand-new NE entry in a single step.
