What is neName?

This read-create DisplayString (0..256) is an administratively-assigned name for the Network Element, conventionally the node's fully-qualified domain name. An admin cares because it lets an NE be identified by a meaningful name rather than a bare index in inventory or alarm listings. For example, an admin sets neName to 'node1.example.com' so the NE shows up under its DNS name in the management interface.
