neFineGrainedPmInterval
Module: CM-ENTITY-MIB
OID (symbolic): CM-ENTITY-MIB::neFineGrainedPmInterval
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.3.1.1.1.14
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: CmPmIntervalType
Access: read-write
Description: Allows specification of the fine-grained PM interval at the Network Element level. Value of this objec is propagated to all the cards beloning to the Network Element. This applies to all monitored PM entities. The default value of this attribute is interval-15min. Valid values are interval-5min and interval-15min. interval-1day and rollover are not considered fine-grained intervals.
What is neFineGrainedPmInterval?
This read-write CmPmIntervalType sets the fine-grained performance-monitoring interval at the Network Element level, propagated to all cards under that NE, defaulting to interval-15min with interval-5min as the other valid fine-grained choice. An admin cares because it controls how granular the performance-monitoring bucket data collected across the whole NE will be. For example, an admin sets neFineGrainedPmInterval to interval-5min to get more granular PM bucket data pushed to every card under that NE instead of the default 15-minute buckets.
