Access: read-write

Description: Whether or not SNMP dying gasp is enabled on the Ethernet NTE T3204 Card.

What is ethernetNTET3204CardSnmpDyingGaspEnabled?

This read-write TruthValue toggles whether the Ethernet NTE T3204 Card sends an SNMP dying-gasp notification — a trap fired using residual power at the moment of a power loss — when it unexpectedly loses power. Admins enable this so a sudden power loss on the Ethernet NTE T3204 Card still generates an alert instead of the card just silently dropping off the network, which is what lets a NOC tell a power outage apart from, say, a planned card removal. When troubleshooting an Ethernet NTE T3204 Card that keeps vanishing from the management system without any prior alarm, an admin would check whether this object is set to true, since a disabled dying gasp would explain the silent disappearance.
