What is ethernetNTEGE104CardSnmpDyingGaspEnabled?
This read-write TruthValue controls whether the Ethernet NTE GE104 Card sends an SNMP dying-gasp notification when it is about to lose power. Enabling it lets the management station learn that a specific card is failing due to power loss rather than simply going silent and unexplained. For example, after a fiber cabinet's backup battery fails, the dying-gasp trap from this card tells the NOC exactly which card lost power moments before communication dropped.
