This is a read-write AdminState object that records the administrator's intended service state for the Auxiliary Port Expansion Card, separate from its actual operational condition. Network operators care about it because it is the control they use to deliberately disable the Auxiliary Port Expansion Card for maintenance without the system reporting a spurious hardware failure. For example, a maintenance window script sets this object to out-of-service on the Auxiliary Port Expansion Card at the start of the window and restores it to in-service once work is confirmed complete.
