Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: The information signal status is displayed with a five-character field, where the individual characters have the following meaning:

N = New SVC A = Active SVC C = CIR reached F = Forward congestion (to destination SVC) B = Backward congestion (from destination SVC)

When an information status signal is not present, the unit displays a dash [-] in the appropriate position.

What is statSvcInfoSignal?

This read-only five-character string encodes the SVC's current signaling status, with character positions flagging conditions such as N for a new SVC, A for active, C for CIR reached, and F or B for forward or backward congestion toward or from the destination SVC. An administrator reads the specific characters present to quickly diagnose congestion or setup issues on the switched circuit without pulling multiple separate counters. For example, seeing a B in statSvcInfoSignal would tell the administrator the destination SVC is signaling backward congestion, meaning the remote end is asking this unit to slow down.
