This read-only integer counts the number of status messages received by the unit, reporting call state information from the far end. An administrator uses it to detect when the remote party is frequently reporting call-state conditions, which can hint at instability on that end. For example, a rising statRxStatusMessages count without a matching rise in normal call activity would prompt the administrator to look at what condition the far end keeps reporting.
