This read-only integer reports the number of seconds since this destination's routing entry was added to the table, normally between 0 and 30 seconds for a valid connection. An administrator uses an unusually high age value on a route marked valid as a sign the routing table entry may be stale rather than freshly refreshed. For example, a route showing statPvcrRouteAge far above the normal 30-second range while still marked VALID would prompt the administrator to check whether route updates for that destination have stopped arriving.
