Description: Number of errors on the PVC. This counter is incremented every time the unit detects an error coming from the PVC.
What is statPvcError?
This read-only counter increments every time the unit detects an error originating from this permanent virtual circuit. An administrator treats a climbing count as a direct indicator of line-quality or carrier-side problems affecting that specific circuit. For example, a PVC whose statPvcError count rises sharply during a storm would lead the administrator to suspect a physical-layer fault on that circuit's path.
