What is statIfwanBadOctets?
This read-only Counter tallies the number of characters received and deleted because of a bad frame on this WAN port. An admin uses it alongside statIfwanBadFrames to gauge the volume of data lost to framing errors, not just the frame count. For example, a large statIfwanBadOctets value relative to a modest statIfwanBadFrames count would indicate the bad frames received tend to be unusually large.
