Module: CLEARTRAC7-MIB

OID (symbolic): CLEARTRAC7-MIB::statIfvceDvcPortInUse

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.727.7.2.20.10.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: Indicates the logical port number that is being used by an active voice connection. For CCS protocols such as QSIG, the E1/CCS card selects which DSP on which DVC card it will use for a connection. The logical port number corresponding to the DSP is reported to the cleartrac baseboard, and comprises the value of the DVC Port In Use statistic. For slot 1 of the DVC card the possible values are 100 to 106, for slot 2 they are 200 to 206, and so on.

What is statIfvceDvcPortInUse?

This read-only string indicates the logical DVC (voice card) port currently used by an active voice connection on this interface; for CCS protocols like QSIG, the E1/CCS card selects which DSP on which DVC card handles the connection, and that logical port number is reported here. An admin uses this to trace which physical DSP resource is actually servicing a given voice channel when troubleshooting call quality or capacity issues. For example, if a QSIG call on this interface exhibits poor audio quality, statIfvceDvcPortInUse tells the admin exactly which DVC card's DSP to inspect or reset.
