Description: A BOOTREQUEST frame was received on the UDP port BOOTPC. That should never occur. This frame is discarded.
What is statBootpRequestReceivedOnPortBootpc?
This read-only integer counts BOOTREQUEST frames received on the UDP port BOOTPC, which the description notes should never occur since requests belong on the BOOTPS port. An administrator treats any nonzero value as evidence of a misbehaving client or a spoofed/misdirected frame on the network. For example, a nonzero statBootpRequestReceivedOnPortBootpc would prompt the administrator to identify which client is sending malformed BOOTP traffic to the wrong port.
