What is pvcProxyAddr?
This read-write integer (1-8) indicates which slot of the remote SDM-RX unit, reached over this PVC, holds the SNMP/NMS proxy agent board. An admin sets this so management traffic destined for that remote unit is directed to the correct proxy agent slot rather than a slot with no management capability. For example, setting pvcProxyAddr to 3 tells the system the proxy agent for managing the far-end SDM-RX chassis lives in slot 3.
