Description: If the area has been configured as a stub area, and the router itself is an area border router, then the StubMetric indicates the cost of the default summary link that the router should advertise into the area.
What is ospfAreaStubMetric?
This read-write integer (1-255) indicates, when the area is configured as a stub and the router itself is an area border router, the cost of the default summary link that the router advertises into the stub area. An admin sets this to control how attractive the injected default route appears to routers inside the stub area relative to any other paths. For example, setting ospfAreaStubMetric to 10 on the area border router makes the advertised default route into the stub area carry a cost of 10 in routers' path calculations.
