Description: A unique type value for each interface.
What is intfType?
This read-only enumeration reports the unique type of a given interface, such as wan-on-baseCard or voice-on-slot, distinguishing where and what kind of interface it is on the ClearTrac7 chassis. An administrator uses this to understand at a glance whether a given interface index refers to a WAN link, a voice port, or another type, and whether it sits on the base card or an expansion slot. For example, seeing voice-on-slot(4) for a given interface tells the admin it is a voice port located on an expansion card rather than the base unit.
