Description: A unique value for each interface.
What is intfSlotType?
This read-only enumeration identifies the type of card installed in a slot, such as ethernet, vcf03, or g703-E1, associated with a given interface. An administrator uses this to know exactly which card model is providing a given interface without needing to physically inspect the chassis. For example, an interface reporting slot type g703-E1(3) tells the admin that interface runs over an E1 line card rather than an Ethernet module.
