What is intfSlot?
This read-only enumeration reports which physical location, the base card or a numbered slot, houses a given interface. An administrator uses it to know exactly where in the chassis to look when investigating an issue reported against a particular interface index. For example, an interface reporting slot-3(3) tells a technician to check the card installed in slot 3 rather than searching the base card.
