Module: CLEARTRAC7-MIB
OID (symbolic): CLEARTRAC7-MIB::ifwanPppRequestedAccmChar
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.727.7.2.2.2.1.129
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-write
Description: This parameter determines the exact characters of the Asynchronous Control Character Map that are requested from the remote peer. The Async-Control-Character-Map field is 4 bytes long. It encoded such that each numbered bit corresponds to the ASCII control character of the same value. If a bit is cleared to zero, then the corresponding ASCII control character must remain mapped. For example, if bit 19 is set to zero, then ASCII control character 19 (CTRL-S) will not be changed during transmission.
What is ifwanPppRequestedAccmChar?
This read-write 4-byte OCTET STRING is the bitmap of ASCII control characters this port asks the remote peer to keep escaped (byte-stuffed) on the asynchronous link. Each bit position corresponds to one control character, and clearing a bit to zero means that character must stay mapped, giving fine control over which bytes are protected from being misinterpreted as line control. For example, if a legacy modem chain is sensitive to XON/XOFF flow-control bytes, this object would be set with those specific bits cleared so the corresponding characters remain escaped.
