Description: This configured data allows the authentication procedure to generate and/or verify the authentication field in the OSPF header. This value again must be the same for all routers attached to a common network.
What is ifwanOspfPassword?
This read-write string holds the configured authentication data that OSPF uses to generate or verify the authentication field in the OSPF header on this interface, and it must match across all routers attached to the same network. An administrator configures this to enable OSPF authentication and prevent unauthorized routers from participating in routing exchanges on this network. For example, if this password does not match the value configured on a neighboring router, OSPF adjacency between the two will fail to form.
