Module: CLEARTRAC7-MIB

OID (symbolic): CLEARTRAC7-MIB::ifwanChExp

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.727.7.2.2.2.1.86

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: A 32 byte string describing the cross connection of every DS0 of this interface: - DS0 timeslot 1 is represent by the left most character. - every byte of the field correspond to a DS0 channel assign to a specific DVC slot number, i.e. DS0 number 8 is represented by the second byte of the string and represent timeslot 2 crossconnect to a DVC in slot 8, and so on up to DS0 number 32. - a digit k ( k in the range '1' to '8') placed at the nth position in the string means that the nth DS0 is crossconnected to the expansion slot number k

for example:

R8--------------R-------------76

Timeslot 1 and 17 are always reserved when using an E1 span. When using a T1 span all DS0 timeslots are available. This would mean that the DS0 nr 2 is crossconnected to slot 8, DS0 nr 31 is crossconnected to a DVC in slot 7, DS0 nr 32 is crossconnected to a DVC in slot 6. The - or I characters means that there is no cross connection.

What is ifwanChExp?

This read-write 32-byte string describes the cross-connection of every DS0 on this interface to specific DVC slot numbers, with each byte of the field corresponding to one DS0 channel's cross-connect assignment, for example the second byte representing timeslot 2's assignment to a DVC in a given slot. An administrator uses this to see or configure at a glance how each of the interface's DS0 channels is cross-connected into the system's voice channel resources. For example, reading this string lets an admin confirm that timeslot 8 is cross-connected to the DVC card and slot expected by the current voice channel plan.
