Description: Contender or non-contender as an active monitor. When this parameter is set to YES, the unit is a contender as the ring monitor. That is, if no ring monitors are active, the unit will automatically negotiate with other devices in the network to select a new monitor, and may become the new ring monitor. When this parameter is set to NO, the unit is a non-contender. That is, it will not negotiate with other devices and cannot become an active monitor. Valid only for Token-Ring.
