Description: This parameter allows RIP frames transmission only, RIP frames reception only or both transmission and reception of RIP frames.
What is iflanIpRipTxRx?
This read-write setting controls whether this LAN interface transmits RIP frames only, receives them only, or does both (duplex), mirroring the same tx/rx control available on WAN ports via ifwanIpRipTxRx. It lets an administrator make this LAN segment RIP receive-only, for example, so the unit learns routes advertised by other routers on the segment without itself injecting routes there. For example, setting this object to tx-only(2) on a LAN interface means the unit advertises its routes to that segment but ignores any RIP updates it hears back.
