Description: Aging time, in seconds, for deleting addresses from the routing table. In transparent bridging, the routing table contains a combination of fixed and learned addresses. For the learned addresses, if a station has not been heard from for the AGING TIME period, its entry can be deleted. This process keeps the size of the routing table to a manageable level, and minimizes the amount of memory and processing required to search it.
