recvCount

Module: CLARENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CLARENT-MIB::recvCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2858.8.2.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description:

What is recvCount?

This read-only integer, whose source description is blank, is named as the receive count for this port, implying it tallies inbound packets or frames received on this specific gateway channel, paired with xmitCount. Admins compare it against xmitCount to check whether a port's inbound and outbound traffic volumes look balanced for the calls it's carrying. For example, a port with steadily increasing recvCount but flat xmitCount during an active call would point toward a one-way audio issue on the transmit side of that same port.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2858.8.2.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CLARENT-MIB::recvCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2858.8.2.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CLARENT-MIB::recvCount.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> recvCount.1
