ingressTime

Module: CLARENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CLARENT-MIB::ingressTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2858.8.2.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Total ingress time, in seconds, on the port

What is ingressTime?

This read-only integer reports the cumulative time, in seconds, that this specific port has spent carrying ingress (inbound) calls. Admins use per-port ingress time to see traffic directionality at the channel level, useful when diagnosing whether a trunk group is being used as expected for incoming calls. For example, a port dedicated to inbound toll-free traffic should show a much higher ingressTime than egressTime, and a reversal of that pattern would flag a routing misconfiguration.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2858.8.2.1.7
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CLARENT-MIB::ingressTime

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2858.8.2.1.7.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CLARENT-MIB::ingressTime.1
