gkSysLogIpAddr

Module: CLARENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CLARENT-MIB::gkSysLogIpAddr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2858.100.20.2.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description: IP address of a system logging (syslog) daemon server

What is gkSysLogIpAddr?

This read-write object holds the IP address of the syslog server that the Clarent Gatekeeper sends its log messages to when gkSysLogEnable is turned on. It must point at a reachable, listening syslog daemon for remote logging to actually work. For example, setting gkSysLogIpAddr to the address of the central log server ensures gatekeeper events are captured there rather than being lost.
