This read-write integer sets, in seconds, how often an H.323 gateway must re-register with the Clarent Gatekeeper, defaulting to 25 seconds with an allowed range of 0 to 120. Tuning it lets an admin balance how quickly the gatekeeper notices a gateway has gone silent against the registration traffic overhead. For example, lowering gkRasKeepAliveTimer to 10 seconds makes the gatekeeper detect a failed H.323 gateway faster, at the cost of more frequent keepalive traffic.
