gkOpState

Module: CLARENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CLARENT-MIB::gkOpState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2858.100.20.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Clarent Gatekeeper operational state

What is gkOpState?

This read-only value reports whether the Clarent Gatekeeper itself is operationally enabled or disabled. It's the top-level health indicator admins check before investigating more detailed gatekeeper counters like call counts or load state. For example, a monitoring poll that finds gkOpState at disabled(0) tells the admin the gatekeeper isn't processing calls at all, prompting an immediate investigation ahead of digging into call statistics.
