deleteCommand

Module: CLARENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CLARENT-MIB::deleteCommand

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2858.100.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: Initiate a DELETE command. In the SET command, specify the package name.

What is deleteCommand?

Writing a package name to this variable issues a DELETE command that removes the named package from the Clarent device. Admins use it to clean up obsolete or failed packages so they don't consume storage or cause confusion during future upgrades. For example, SETting deleteCommand to an old codec package name after a successful upgrade frees up space on the gateway.
