Module: CLARENT-MIB

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2858.100.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: Initiate an ABORT command. In the SET command, specify the package name.

What is abortCommand?

This variable cancels an in-progress package operation on the Clarent device when the admin SETs it to the package name being aborted. It gives an operator a way to back out of a prepare/commit sequence if a staged package turns out to be wrong or a prerequisite check fails. For example, if "voip-codec-2.3" was prepared by mistake, SETting abortCommand to that name stops it before it is committed.
