rldot1qVlanStaticListIndex

Module: CISCOSB-vlan-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-vlan-MIB::rldot1qVlanStaticListIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.48.69.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: An index is entrie's sequence. This field substitutes a vlan type. If the vlan was created by user configuration then the type is static. If the vlan was created by GVRP/MVRP protocols then the type is dynamicGvrp. If the vlan was created by Radius server attribute assignment mechanism then the type is dynamicRava.

What is rldot1qVlanStaticListIndex?

This read-write INTEGER (static(0), dynamicGvrp(1), dynamicRava(2)) records how a VLAN entry was created, effectively substituting for a VLAN-type field: user-configured VLANs are static, GVRP/MVRP-learned VLANs are dynamicGvrp, and RADIUS-assigned VLANs are dynamicRava. An admin checks this to distinguish VLANs they manually created from ones the switch learned automatically, which is useful when auditing unexpected VLANs on the device. For example, seeing dynamicRava(2) against a VLAN entry tells the admin that VLAN was pushed down by a RADIUS server attribute during 802.1x authentication rather than configured by hand.
