Description: Specifies whether or not a rsPingCompletion trap should be issued on completion of the sequence of pings. If such a trap is desired, the NMS should ensure that the community table contains an instance specified by the NMSs IP address with rndCommunityTrapsEnable = trapsEnable.
What is rsPingTrapOnCompletion?
This read-write TruthValue specifies whether the device should issue an rsPingCompletion trap once a ping test sequence finishes, provided the NMS's IP address is configured in the community table with trap notifications enabled. An admin sets this to true when they want to be proactively notified the moment a long-running ping test wraps up rather than having to poll for results. For example, enabling rsPingTrapOnCompletion lets an admin walk away from a 1000-packet ping test and get notified via trap once it's done.
