Description: eraseSimulatedConfiguration instructs the MLNMS to erase all the simulated configuration from its configuration data-base (CDB). This the only accepted value for SNMP SET statements and will never be returned in SNMP GET statements. simulatedConfigurationPresent indicates that the MLNMS currently has a simulated configuration. simulatedConfigurationErased indicates that the MLNMS currently has no simulated configuration.
What is rndEraseSimulatedConfiguration?
This read-write INTEGER either instructs the Mid-Level station to erase all simulated configuration from its configuration database, or (on GET) reports whether simulated configuration is currently present or has been erased. An admin uses the erase action during testing to clean up simulated data before running fresh test scenarios, then checks the resulting status value to confirm the erase completed. For example, setting rndEraseSimulatedConfiguration to eraseSimulatedConfiguration(1) and later reading back simulatedConfigurationErased(3) confirms the CDB's test data was successfully cleared.
